For a book you don't own yet, Leaf shows an optional link to buy it, sometimes an affiliate link, and says so plainly. The app never uses what you read to target you with advertising.
Works offline, no account required
All your data is stored locally on your device. You don't need to create an account, verify an email, or connect to a server to start tracking your reading. Leaf works in airplane mode, in a cabin with no signal, in the subway. Every reading session you log is saved immediately to your phone, not to a cloud server you don't control.
