Audiobook tracker
Track audiobooks in minutes, next to everything else you read.
Set a book to Audiobook, enter its length, and log the minutes you listened. Leaf paces your listening with a daily goal in minutes, keeps your streak going, and shows the book beside your print and ebook reads. Free on iOS and Android.
Set up an audiobook in three steps
- Format
Choose Audiobook
When you add a book, set its format to Physical, Ebook, or Audiobook. Audiobooks are tracked in minutes listened unless you choose otherwise.
- Length
Enter the total length
Type the running time in hours and minutes, as your listening app shows it. Already partway through? Add the time you have listened so far and Leaf starts from there.
- Listen
Log minutes, not pages
After a session, log your listening. Leaf counts it toward today's goal and your streak, and shows how much of the book is left.
Built for listening, not squeezed into pages
A daily goal in minutes
Choose how many minutes to listen each day and Leaf shows when you are likely to finish. Or pick a finish date and Leaf works out the minutes you need each day.
Labels that follow the unit
For a minutes-tracked book, goals and progress read in minutes: min/day, time listened, minutes this week. Nothing asks for a page number you do not have.
Or pace it like the print edition
Listening along with a paper copy, or keeping pace with a book club? Track the audiobook by page or by percentage instead, and it paces exactly like the printed book.
Credit the narrator
Add the narrator next to the author, along with a translator, editor, or illustrator, so the book page credits the voice you actually heard.
It counts toward your streak
A day you log listening is a reading day. Your streak treats an audiobook session like any other.
Notes by the minute
Save a thought or a line you heard, pinned to the minute instead of the page, and find it again in the book's notes.
Frequently asked questions
Can Leaf track audiobooks?
Yes. Set a book's format to Audiobook and Leaf tracks it in minutes listened, with a total length in hours and minutes. You can log progress, set a daily goal in minutes, and keep your streak with audiobooks just as with printed books.
How do I track audiobook progress?
Add the book, choose Audiobook, and enter its total length. After each listening session, log your progress in minutes. Leaf shows how much is left and, if you set a goal, how many minutes today asks for.
Can I track an audiobook by pages instead of minutes?
Yes. In the book's advanced options you can track an audiobook by page or by percentage instead. That helps when you switch between listening and reading the same edition, or want to pace against a print page count.
Do audiobooks count toward my reading streak?
Yes. Any day you log progress counts, whether you logged pages, a percentage, or minutes.
Can I add an audiobook to a reading challenge?
Not while it is tracked in minutes. Challenges pace several books with one daily page count, so minutes-tracked audiobooks sit that out. Switch the audiobook to page tracking and it can join.
Can I credit the narrator?
Yes. Every book has contributor credits for narrator, translator, editor, and illustrator, in addition to the author.
Does Leaf connect to Audible or my listening app?
No. Leaf does not read your progress from other apps. You log your minutes yourself after listening, which takes a few seconds, and your data stays on your device.
Is the audiobook tracker free?
Yes. Tracking audiobooks, minute goals, streaks, and notes are free for everyone on iOS and Android.
