Three ways to share what you read

  1. Cover grid

    Make a cover grid

Pick a shelf, a status like Want to read, or hand-pick any books. Drag the covers into the order you want, write your own title, and export a Story, Square, or Post image.

  2. Link

Send a list as a link

Share a book list as a link. Your friend sees the covers, picks the books they want, and adds them to their own list. They do not need your library or an account.

  3. QR code

    Show a QR code

Sitting across from someone? Show a QR code. They point their camera at it and the books open in Leaf, ready to add.

Made for the way readers share

Any shelf, any selection

Share what you are currently reading, your TBR, the books you finished in a month or a year, one of your own shelves, or a selection you pick by hand.

Arrange it by hand

Hold a cover and drag it where you want it. Put the favorite first, or build the whole grid around one book.

Your heading, or none

Write your own title and subtitle, or leave them off. Choose the background, and show star ratings under each cover if you like.

Three image formats

Export a 9:16 story, a 1:1 square, or a 4:5 post, or copy the list as plain text for a caption.

Notes and quotes

Share a passage you saved as an image with the book cover, or as text. Pick several notes to share them together.

Links anyone can open

A shared list opens a preview in any browser. With Leaf installed, it opens a screen to pick and add the books, and marks the ones already in the library.

For your TBR post, your wrap-up, and your group chat

Monthly wrap-ups, TBR stacks, and favorites of the year are how readers talk about books online. Leaf builds the image from books you have already logged, so there is no cover hunting and no design app. For a ranked list, the book tier list maker sorts your reads into S to D tiers and exports in the same three formats.

Share your next stack

Download Leaf, pick the books you want to show, and share them as an image, a link, or a QR code. Free on iOS and Android.

Frequently asked questions

How do I share my TBR list?

Open your Want to read shelf in Leaf and share it as a cover grid. Reorder the covers, set a title, and export an image for your story or feed. You can also send the list as a link, so friends can add the books to their own list.

Does my friend need Leaf or an account to see a shared list?

No account is needed. The link opens a page that shows the books in any browser. To add them to a reading list, your friend installs Leaf, opens the link again, and picks the books they want.

What image formats can I export?

Story (9:16), Square (1:1), and Post (4:5), sized for Instagram, TikTok, and most other apps. You can also save the image to your camera roll or share the list as plain text.

Can I choose which books appear on the grid?

Yes. Start from any shelf or status, or build a custom selection by searching your library. Then drag the covers into the order you want and remove any you would rather leave out.

Is sharing free?

Yes. Cover grids, list links, QR codes, and note sharing are free for everyone. Shared images carry a small Leaf mark, which Leaf Pro can hide.

Can I share a book tier list too?

Yes. The tier list has its own builder: it ranks the books you rated into S to D tiers and exports in the same three formats. The Book Tier List page shows how it works.
